We seek a foundation kaiako to teach and lead our Y1–5 tamariki in our new Te Pā Wānanga (tepawananga.co.nz ), Level 2, bilingual, Māori medium education facility based at Omaka Marae. Te Pā Wānanga is a satellite class of Renwick School established in partnership with Omaka Marae. The successful candidate will be supported by the Renwick School whānau structure.
This position has been specially staffed term 4, to enable the successful applicant to assist with curriculum design, programme development and assembly of the necessary resources.
This is a unique career opportunity for an innovative and visionary kaiako who is competent in te reo, knowledgeable in tikanga Māori, has had recent successful teaching in Māori medium, understands our kaupapa and has the experience to be an effective teacher for our 20 young foundation students working with Te Marautanga o Aotearoa.
